How I sympathise with you Cazza - I'm a lot more mobile but still get that 'left behind' feeling sometimes. I can't believe what you have been through recently. When do you see the neurologist?

Hello Cazza

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly and still having these nasty falls. You could do with a little bit of extra TLC as this difficult time. I hope your appointment with the neurologist comes through soon and you are able to get a satisfactory answer and some treatment for your problems. Things will get better for you, although I know it probably doesn't feel like it right now, and the RA will be brought under control with alternative medication.

In the meantime, keep warm and rest, rest, rest!

Lyn x

Hello Cazza, I'm so sorry that this is all happening to you I really wish that there is someone that you see can do something to make you feel better. Just maybe you could be helped a bit when this weather gets better we are in March tomorrow and spring may be on it's way. Sometimes it does help lift us a bit. This cold and damp can make even healthy peoples bones feel sore. Try and keep warm, I know it,s hard to rest with a three year old but as much as you can and I hope something good happens for you soon. Take care. Glenys x

Hi Cazza,

How are you feeling today? Have the meds kicked in yet? Also, have you been given a date yet for the neurologist?

Hang in there x x x

Dear Cazza

I'm sorry you're still in lots of pain, it's bound to make you feel very down. It must be very hard, being on your own for a while. Do you have a flask so that you can have a warm drink? I hope you've got lots of magazines to read, and a tv.

I hope your appt comes through soon.

Lyn

Dear Cazza,

My heart goes out to you, this retched disease has a lot to answer for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the medics can come up with a treatment for you that doesn't cause a whole host of other illnesses. I know it's not the same as having family around you, but as long as the forum is here you'll never be left entirely alone to suffer with the disease.

I was wondering if it was possible for you to arrange a few small pleasurable treats for yourself, one for everyday to keep your spirits up? Perhaps choosing a funny film to watch with a girlfriend curled up on the sofa with a box of chocolates and a glass of wine when family are out, and when you are left on your own? Surfing the net for the perfect dream dress, and planning trips with the family for when you feel better and when the weather improves... Planning nice manageable things to do will help to keep your spirits up.

Not sure where you live, but you could try your local Good Neighbour Scheme as they often have befrienders who visit people who are housebound, and help also with minor chores.

Take care, and gentle cyber hugs,

love,

Barbara
